Brian Meyers

Brian Meyers has been a marketing manager and buyer in the retail drug industry for over 30 years. Brian began his career at Walgreens in 1973 in the physical distribution department and later moved to purchasing working on inventory systems.

During his career, Brian held a variety of positions including manager of replenishment buying responsible for all distribution center’s inventory.  He managed the marketing department to enhance and guide the company towards better merchandising and inventory goals, and managed the diet and nutritional departments as category manager.

During Brian’s tenure at Walgreens, he was responsible for initiating and overseeing many important and valuable programs. His contributions include serving as business trainer on the SIMS project / program, implementing  a Walgreen’s purchasing program, and:

  • Developing the highly successful pharmacy counter display unit
  • Developing the initial low-carbohydrate diet department
  • Driving record sales and growth in the categories he managed
  • Bringing innovative ideas to generate merchandising excitement

Since November 2006, Brian has been an Associate in The Swanson Group (TSG), a customer driven, Sales and Marketing Service provider that enhances the competitive position and profitability of retailer and manufacturing clients by leveraging their combined strengths. TSG provides business development services to both national and retailer brand clients.  Brian focuses on initiatives in the Health & Wellness, Personal Care, and Beauty & Fashion product categories.

Brian is a member of NACDS and PLMA.
