Rich brings 45+ years of CPG industry sales and marketing executive experience to The Swanson Group (TSG). In 1998, Rich and Ric Durr, co-founded TSG, a company dedicated to driving sales and profitable growth for manufacturers and retailers by discovering critical insights and developing strategies/solutions to drive success. Rich’s apt leadership and dedication to his “craft” spearheads TSG’s direction – delivering a strong industry network, insights, expertise, enthusiasm, and a passion to deliver agreed upon client goals.
Rich is a member of the National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) Retail Advisory Board (RAB), and sits on the Outreach and Business Development Committee, of which he served as chairman for four years. Rich is also a Member of PLMA and involved with other industry and charitable organizations.
Prior to TSG, Rich started his career with P&G’s paper division, and then used those skills as EVP Confab/ICD to manage and grow their leading North American market position in the Private Label Fem Hygiene, Incontinent, and Baby Diaper categories.
