Following graduation from Texas Christian University, Judith began her career with Pier 1 Imports as a successful Store Manager in Fort Worth, Texas. She later accepted a Sales/Buyer position with Shinwa U.S.A., a Japanese company specializing in the distribution of metals and finished product to the automotive industry where she gained valuable experience in customer sales and negotiations, the commodities market, and international (U.S. – Japan) trade. Upon moving to Chicago, Judith joined the NutraSweet Company in Deerfield, IL as a Purchasing Agent for raw materials and packaging for their Ice Cream division.

In 1993, Judith joined Confab / ICD (later acquired by TYCO Healthcare), manufacturer of “Store Brand” Feminine Hygiene, Adult Incontinent, and Disposable Diaper products. As Manager of Sales Analysis, Judith was responsible for analyzing in-house, account, and syndicated data; and for incorporating this analysis into informative trend reports and presentations. In addition to her “analytic” responsibilities, Judith managed several Midwest accounts. She also worked in tandem with TPG (The Partnering Group) to successfully develop groundbreaking Category Management disciplines that enhanced Confab’s go-to-market position (Feminine Hygiene and Adult Incontinent lines) in North America Mass Retail.

Judith joined The Swanson Group in September 2010 to focus on managing point-of-sale sales reports via retailer vendor portal sites, providing insightful analysis of trends and opportunities utilizing customer specific and national syndicated data, and supporting presentation development. Judith analyzes data to identify business development opportunities, decision-making support, and program assessment. Her review and understanding of the changes in product/market behavior helps the TSG team to manage programs, promos, and SKU selection to influence sales and space growth.
